Fire Engine??

After doing extensive research I have discovered that originally the Lorry was a Fire Engine - 1st purchased by Ely Council as a Tender to tow the existing Steam Pump ( although not mentioned in any fire engine literature) here is a photo of it in action during the war.

Here is picture of the Shand Mason steam pump which it towed, it originally only had solid wheels (non pneumatic) and was therefore restricted to 10mph Now at Prickwillow Steam Museum
